This is the first professional level PADI Course and is the most intense course. You will gain more in depth knowledge of the physics of diving, equipment care and maintenance, diving physiology, decompression theory, dive planning, dive leadership, and safety standards.
In addition to your class work, you will shadow and assist the dive masters, instructors, and shop assistant as appropriate to fulfill the internship portion of this course. Three boat dives are included in the price of the course where you will be expected to help out on the boat as if you were part of the crew, including loading tanks, assembling weight belts, setting up equipment, washing equipment, leading some dives, and all of the normal duties of a divemaster. You will also do numerous shore dives with your instructor(s) to practice skills, techniques, rescue scenarios, mapping, and water skills assessments.
